Best Western York House Hotel

Really great stay. Went for our dinner club annual Christmas dinner and stay. This year stayed here for the first time. Really enjoyed it

We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, very helpful friendly staff. It was great being able to have an early morning swim in the indoor pool before breakfast.The restaurant menu is excellent and good value. We have booked to come back later in the year.

Lovely friendly hotel - great front of house team. Rooms are a little tired, but it is an old building with creaking floors so not much can be done about that except a lick of paint, and they're lovely and clean. We had a sea-view room and a sea view it really was, but a bit noisy from the traffic which is to be expected. The pool is a great addition, but don't be deceived by the photos on the website, it is very small - if you're lucky enough to get in when nobody else is in there it can be enjoyable and relaxing - no showers in the changing rooms though. We didn't try the breakfast due to the price, so opted for a local cafe instead. Overall, excellent service, location, and amenities.

Perfect hotel for us!! Wonderful location for walking around town and the beach. The room was nice and cool during this heat wave— this was very important for us and Best Western didn’t disappoint! The room also came with a fan but was nice and cool before the fan got turned on. The bed was super comfortable. The hotel has a lovely vintage charm. Pro tip: we were able to purchase a later check out, which made visiting the seven sisters area in the morning super easy! We walked from the hotel to Birling gap and grabbed an Uber back from there. No one was out in the morning and much cooler temps! (~7.5miles easy walk/hike for us) Highly recommend this hotel for value, comfort and location!

We had a great stay at the York House Hotel! The room was perfectly adequate and comfortable, and the hotel overall was ideal for a dog-friendly holiday. There was a slightly musty smell in the corridor, but everything else was spot on. The team provided great service throughout our stay, and breakfast was perfectly adequate for our needs. Would definitely stay again—thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome!

My wife and I recently stayed while visiting an ill relative. What an awesome experience! I really don’t know where to begin and so let’s start - what in my opinion- makes York House the place to stay in Eastbourne - and that has to be the management and staff. The folks at the front desk were always there for us. Checking in, calling cabs for us, answering our queries and etc. Very helpful and professional. Words cannot adequately express how two tired travelers were greeted and helped. Darren went over backwards to get us into Room 144. He was almost always there it seemed and always positive and very attentive to our needs. Thanks Darren for being so helpful and everything you did for us. You are a credit to the Best Western family! The manager was a tremendous help and printed out our football ticket email for us. From what we observed, he is a hands on manager with close attention to details. Very caring and professional in everything. Our room was attended to by the room service staff. Clean and fresh towels and coffee/tea/snacks were refreshed daily. Thank you for your patience with two lazy bones on several days. The dining room staff are awesome and attended to our every wish and demand. They not only served our food and drink but chatted with us and made the meals a real pleasure. The Spanish lady and two servers kept us supplied with almost too much food! Thanks to the unseen kitchen staff also for the delicious and warm food. On two evenings, I checked into the bar and on both occasions our drinks were served with a smile and again with a professional manner that epitomizes this fine hotel. The location is awesome and right on the front. We spent the little free time we had gazing at the English Channel sitting outside in the chairs and watching the waves roll in and out. You can’t beat this unless, of course, you are cruising on the briny deep. I am sure I am missing something so you will have to discover for yourself what joys can be found at the Eastbourne Best Western York House. “A splendid time is guaranteed for all”

We stayed at the York house hotel as part of a big party of guests for a birthday nothing was too much trouble we were given a separate room to eat during the evening we all ordered the pizzas and chips and it was fantastic we all thoroughly enjoyed the food the service was great! The children used the indoor swimming pool a couple of times during the visit and they loved it the pool was lovely and warm so great for small children. The rooms were lovely and spacious and had everything we needed in it loads of fresh towels and extra beds and cot and it was still spacious. The hotel is located ontop of the beach front with gorgeous views from the room. There was seating right outside the hotel under shelter and was a lovely place to sit and talk. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and had everything you could want. I will definitely be visiting the hotel again we had a great time and although the parking is limited the cost of parking which you get from the hotel main reception is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this hotel as a place to go and unwind. The town and pier are only a short walk from the hotel and also a local shop for any essentials.

Lovely hotel l, great location literally across the road from the beach. Lovely staff who are happy to help. There is a Spanish lady that works there who is full of recommendations on the area and is so sweet and friendly. Rooms can do with a bit of TLC but they are clean and have everything you need in them inc a comfy bed. Veranda has a great view can sit there of an evening with your preferred drink looking out at the sea
